Do I need a Threads or Instagram account?
No. Public posts are read the way a signed-out visitor sees them, and your account is never used.
Can I save every photo in a carousel?
Yes. Each slide is listed separately at upload size, so you can take one, some or all of them.
What about a quoted post?
Paste the link to the post you are looking at. The media attached to that post is what gets read — a quote carries the original's media with it.
Can I download a text-only post?
There is no file behind a text post, so nothing is offered. The words can be copied straight from Threads.
Does the video keep its quality?
You get the file Threads serves, at the resolution the author uploaded. Nothing is re-encoded or upscaled here.
Why does a link fail sometimes?
The account is private, the post was deleted, or the profile has been deactivated. Opening the link in a private window shows which.
Can I save replies to a post?
Yes, if the reply itself carries media — copy that reply's own link rather than the parent post's.
Does the author see that I saved their post?
No. The post is read the same way a browser reads it, and nothing reaches the author's account.
