Public Posts, and Everything Else

Weibo is unusually open: most posts are readable without an account, which is exactly what this page relies on. News clips, celebrity posts, event coverage and everyday photo grids all work from their link alone.

Do I have to log in to Weibo?

No. Public posts are read straight from their link, and your account is never used.

Can I get all nine photos from one post?

Yes. Every image in the grid is listed separately at upload size, and you can save them one by one or together.

How are Weibo GIFs handled?

Weibo stores animated posts as short looping clips rather than .gif files, so that is the file you get. Any converter turns it into a .gif afterwards.

What about a repost?

If the post you paste quotes another one, the quoted post's media is listed as well.

Is there a watermark?

The file is the one Weibo serves for playback. Nothing is added or cropped on our side.

Why is the video only 720p?

Because that is what Weibo stored. It re-encodes uploads, and the highest entry here is the best copy that exists on their side.

Why did my link fail?

The post is usually restricted, deleted, or served only inside mainland China. Opening it in a private browser window shows which.

Can I download a whole profile?

Not from this page, which takes one link at a time. Working through a timeline is a desktop-app feature.
