How Shorts Differ From Regular Videos

A Short is an ordinary YouTube video with a vertical frame and a time limit, so it shares the same video ID system. That is why a /shorts/ link and a watch?v= link with the same ID point to the same file — and why Shorts can be downloaded in the same resolutions as any other upload.

Most Shorts are uploaded from phones at 1080×1920, so 1080p is the usual top quality. What you won't get is the in-app music sticker as a separate track: the audio you download is the final mix you hear in the Short.

Can I download Shorts on iPhone?
